Two Teenagers Arrested for Allegedly Stealing Baby in Bauchi

A 19-year-old woman of Ishehi Hamlet in Misau Local Government Area of Bauchi State has been arrested by the police for allegedly stealing a newborn baby.

The Bauchi State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Wakil, made this known in a statement on Thursday.

The suspect, Hajara Usman, was said to have stolen the infant after conspiring with an 18-year-old man, Ibrahim Usman, of Dugurgama Hamlet.

According to Wakil, he said that a resident of the Galawa Area of Akuyam District in the Misau LGA reported the incident at Akuyam Police Outstation that his daughter’s newborn baby has been stolen.

Upon receiving the report, a team of detectives was immediately mobilized and earnestly swung into action and eventually arrested the hoodlums, and rescued the baby.
