Sterling Leaves World Cup Due to Armed Intruders into his Home

Raheem Sterling will return to London after armed intruders broke into his home while his family was in.

Manager Gareth Southgate confirmed the news after Sunday’s 3-0 last-16 win against Senegal.

It is understood the incident happened on Saturday night. Sterling has three young children.

England defeated Senegal 3-0 to set up a much-anticipated clash with France in the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Qatar. An opening goal from Jordan Henderson was added to by Harry Kane with the last action of the first half. Senegal had their chances, through Watford striker Ismaila Sarr, but the African champions failed to pose any significant danger to England.
