Malaysia’s Ex-Prime Minister Sentenced to Prison

Malaysian Ex-Prime Minister, Najib Razak has begun a 12-year prison sentence after losing his final appeal in a corruption case linked to the looting of the 1MDB State fund.

Delivering judgment, the Country’s Federal Court ordered Najib, who has been out on bail to begin his term behind bars.

According to reports, Opposition Leaders, Activists and many citizens hailed the Court’s ruling in the appeal hearing on Tuesday, calling it a victory for Malaysians who voted in 2018 to remove Najib’s government and bring him to justice.

Najib became Malaysia’s first former leader to be imprisoned after the verdict.

FRSC Declares Rotational Number Plates Illegal

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has declared rotational number plates displayed on a video that went viral on Social Media as illegal. FRSC’s Spokesperson, Bisi Kazeem, who disclosed this in a statement, noted that the Agency does not produce a number plate with such double features. According to the statement, the Agency has ordered a full investigation into the trend.
