Imo Police Warns Officers Against Harassing Citizens

Imo State Police Command has advised the public to report any form of harassment by police officers to the command.
The Public Relations Officer of the Command, Mike Abattam, gave the advice in a telephone interview with Boss Radio News.

Abattam reiterates that police officers have no right to check phones of citizens.

The Spokesman adds that any officer caught in such act will be punished.

Recall that some Imolites raised alarm over alleged harassment from police officers.

Soludo Inaugurates Local Government Committee

Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has inaugurated the State-Local Government Joint Accounts Committee. A statement issued by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Christian Aburime, revealed that the state government would set up the local government administration that would address the challenges in that layer of government. The statement thanked members of the Committee for accepting the appointment, noting that their job was not going to be an easy one.
