Rivers State Government has said no amount of blackmail would prevent it from prosecuting the lawmaker representing Port Harcourt Federal Constituency II, Chinyere Igwe, over illegal oil bunkering activities.

The Chief of Staff to the State Governor, Emeka Woke, disclosed this during a Permanent Voters Card sensitization and mobilization in Mogho, Gokana local government area of the state.

Woke, who urged Igwe to submit himself to security agencies for interrogation, also warned him to desist from misleading the public with false claims that he was being politically victimized.

He noted that the State government has constitutional obligation to decisively deal with anyone involved in acts contrary to the Nigerian economy.
