France’s Caroline Garcia and Croatia’s Borna Coric claimed victories in the finals at the Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati.
Garcia, became the first qualifier to win a WTA 1000 title with her 6-2 6-4 win against Petra Kvitova.
In the men’s final, Coric, became the lowest-ranked player to claim a Masters Trophy.
The Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, has fixed September 30, 2022, for NFF Elective Congress 2022. This was contained in a communiqué signed by NFF spokesman, Ademola Olajire. According to the communiqué the body approved the suspension of the provisions of the NFF Statutes (2010) and the NFF Electoral Code (2009).
