Anambra State Police Command has arrested the suspended Transition Committee Chairman of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Mbazulike Iloka.
State police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the arrest on Wednesday in Awka the state capital.
According to him, Iloka is being detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department, under charges of culpable homicide.
Recall that Iloka was suspended by the state government on Friday, over the alleged murder of his wife Chidiebere Iloka.
Reaction has trailed following the indefinite industrial action by the National Union of Electricity Employees. Speaking in an interview with Boss Radio Correspondent, a member, Nigerian youth Parliament, Stewart Osazuwa calls for dialogue by the parties involved. Also speaking, a civil servant, Anthony John says the strike will cripple businesses. For Joshua Adeleke, it is not the right thing for the country.
