Enugu State Local Government Workers Insist on Strike Action

Enugu State Local government workers has disclosed that the industrial action declared over the non-implementation of the N30,000 minimum wage is still in force.

The disclosure was made at a joint press briefing organized by the State Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, and the State Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT, on Tuesday.

The State NULGE President, Kenneth Ugwueze noted that two weeks into the strike, the Local Government Chairmen were yet to take positive action.

The Union, however, appealed to the government to do the needful.
