Abia State Police Command has confirmed the release of the Methodist Church Prelate, Samuel Kanu-Uche, his Chaplain’s, Abidemi Shittu, and the Bishop of Owerri, Dennis Mark, from their abductors.
The Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Geoffrey Ogbonna, confirmed that though the victims have been released, and no arrests have been made.
Ogbonna stated that he was not aware if any ransom was paid.
Samuel Kanu-Uche was kidnapped along Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway, in Umunneochi Local Government.
The Total shortfall in the Nigerian power sector has reached N1.6trillion in eight years. Executive Director, Research and Advocacy, Association of Nigerian Electricity Distributors, Sunday Oduntan, who revealed this on Monday, said the shortfall was recorded in the fourth quarter of last year.
