The Sokoto Sultanate Council has condemned the killing of a Female Student of Shehu Shagari College of Education in the State.
A statement issued by the Sultanate Council Secretary, Sa’idu Maccido, called on Security Agencies to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to book.
The statement urged members of the public to remain calm and live peacefully with one another.
Recalled that the female student was accused of insulting Prophet Muhammad, which led to a mobbing that resulted in her death.
President Muhammadu Buhari has inaugurated 76 Housing Units in Gombe State. Buhari who was represented by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, at the inauguration, said the project was in line with his administration’s development agenda to meet the housing needs of Nigerians. The President commended the State Government for donating the land, and other private sector stakeholders that collaborated with the government.
