Senate constitutes committee to investigate oil theft

The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has constituted a 13-member Ad-hoc Committee to investigate oil theft and its effect on petroleum production and oil revenues.
Lawan, who announced the composition of the panel at plenary, named Bassey Akpan as Chairman of the Committee.
The Senate President gave the committee one month to conclude work on investigations and report back to the chamber in plenary.
