PDP Promises to Rebuild Nigeria

The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has promised to rebuild Nigeria on the pillars of political, economic and social integration.

Speaking at the party’s secretariat while addressing members of the National Working Committee, NWC, former Senate President, Pius Anyim and Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed, highlighted the cardinal programmes their administrations would look into ahead of the 2023 Presidential election.

The aspirants expressed readiness to return PDP to power at the Centre if given the opportunity.

Sri Lanka’s Prime Minister, Mahinda Rajapaksa has offered to talk with protesters calling for the government to step down over its handling of an economic crisis. The country is in the worst financial crisis since independence in 1948. Thousands of people have taken to the streets to denounce the government led by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and his elder brother. Some of the protesters said they would only stop if the Rajapaksas stepped down.
