NOA Kicks Off Campaign to Curb Petrol Scooping from Crashed Tankers

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has cautioned Akwa Ibom residents and Nigerians at large against scooping petrol from crashed tankers over attendant risk.

Director of the Agency, Mkpoutom Mkpoutom, while addressing newsmen in Uyo on Monday, warned that scooping petrol was not only stealing but also a risk to life and property, as has occurred in various parts of the country.

Mkpoutom also warned against the indiscriminate location of gas stations in residential areas, noting that it poses danger to the people, and urged operators to abide by the guidelines provided by the government.
