Anambra withdraws from suit seeking to declare EFCC illegal

The Anambra State Government on Tuesday announced its withdrawal from a legal suit challenging the legality of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) operations.

The state’s Attorney General, Sylvia Ifemeje, informed the Supreme Court of its decision to no longer participate in the case, which was originally filed by Kogi State.

On the same day, Osun State, through its Attorney General, Oluwole Bada, requested to consolidate its grievances against the EFCC with those of Kogi State.
