Speaking at the 67th birthday celebration of legal expert Mike Ozekhome in Abuja, Jonathan highlighted a Supreme Court ruling that allowed a ward chairman of a political party to suspend the National Chairman, describing the decision as destabilizing to democracy.

Jonathan argued that such rulings undermine the natural order of leadership, likening it to turning a cone upside down, making it unstable.

He urged the Supreme Court to review the judgement, warning that it has already caused instability within political parties like the PDP and previously affected the APC.
