Interior minister unveils service upgrades

The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has stated that the Ministry’s recent innovations are designed to enhance service delivery and simplify processes for Nigerians and investors, while ensuring that national security remains uncompromised.

The Minister made this statement while receiving a delegation of the Governing Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, ICAN, led by its President, Davidson Alaribe.

He acknowledged that there is still room for improvement in the passport acquisition process, and revealed that the Ministry would soon introduce a contactless passport solution, enabling Nigerians to renew their passports without visiting a passport office.

Tunji-Ojo also noted that the Ministry is prepared to collaborate with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) to optimize its workforce and improve service delivery across the Ministry and its affiliated agencies.
