Tragic School Fire in Kenya Claims Lives of 17 Children, Bodies Burned Beyond Recognition

Tragedy struck at Hillside Endarasha Primary School in Central Kenya, where at least 17 pupils have been confirmed dead after a devastating fire early wee on Friday as the incident occurred while the children were asleep.
Kenyan Police spokesperson, Resila Onyango, confirmed the sad development to local media early Friday whereas a team of investigators has been dispatched to the school to determine the cause of the fire.
The Kenya Red Cross is actively providing psychosocial support to pupils, teachers, and affected families as they have also set up a tracing desk at the school for assistance.
Reports from newsmen suggest that the death toll may rise, as over a dozen others have been hospitalized with severe burns.
