Israel leaves bodies in wake of Khan Younis exit

Israeli forces have withdrawn from parts of eastern Khan Younis after a 22-day military operation, leaving widespread destruction behind so far, at least nine bodies have been recovered by the Palestinian Civil Defence in the area.

Meanwhile, Israel’s massive raid on the occupied West Bank continues into its third day, with the Israeli army claiming to have killed Hamas commander Wassam Hazem in Jenin.

The World Health Organization on Thursday has announced that Israel has agreed to limited “humanitarian pauses” in Gaza to allow for crucial polio vaccinations whereas over 1.2 million vaccines are already in Gaza, with an additional 400,000 on the way.

The UN Security Council, China condemned Israel, stating, “We must never allow the same humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza to happen in the West Bank, which will turn the West Bank into another hell on earth.”
The conflict has claimed the lives of at least 40,602 people in Gaza, with another 93,855 wounded.
