Kyari urges military to sustain onslaught against crude oil theft

In a bid to bolster Nigeria’s crude oil production, the Group CEO of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd (NNPC), Mele Kyari, on Tuesday has urged the military to maintain its strong stance against crude oil theft and pipeline vandalism.
Kyari expressed his satisfaction with the current efforts, highlighting that they have significantly boosted the nation’s crude oil output.
This appeal came during a meeting at the NNPC Towers in Abuja, where Kyari hosted the Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Musa, along with senior military officers thereby focusing on the critical role of the armed forces in securing vital oil infrastructure, particularly in the Niger Delta region.
Kyari praised the military’s dedication, noting that their ongoing efforts have led to unprecedented levels of oil production not seen in the past three years also emphasized the importance of continued security measures to protect the country’s energy assets, which are crucial not just for Nigeria but also for the global energy market.
