Ohaneze ndị Igbo leader dies today

The President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, has passed away at the age of 82 in Abuja after a brief illness.
His death was confirmed by his son, Jide Iwuanyanwu, in a statement released on Thursday 25th July, 2024.
Iwuanyanwu was a prominent figure, serving as the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide and President of Owerri Peoples Assembly.
He hails from Atta, in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo state.
Iwuanyanwu is the second President General of Ohanaeze to die in quick succession.
