The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has debunked reports that some ward members of the party in certain states were requested to revalidate their membership in the on-going membership drive.
In a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba on Monday, he clarified that the on-going membership drive and registration of new members was only targeted at eligible Nigerians who were interested in joining the party.
The statement added that the membership status, rights and privileges of already existing members remained valid and in no way affected by the membership drive.
The Delta State Police spokesperson, Bright Edafe, has stated that it is a criminal offense to conceal a case of child defilement.
