Senate extends implementation of 2023 supplementary budget

The Nigerian Senate has extended the life cycle of the 2023 supplementary budget from June 30 to December 31, 2024.
This decision was made expeditiously, with the bill passing in less than 20 minutes after a closed-door session that lasted for two hours.
This marks the third extension of the 2023 supplementary budget, which was initially extended from December 31, 2023, to March 31, 2024, and then again to June 30, 2024
