The three-time African champions dropped from 30th to 38th position following the team’s disappointing results in the recent 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
It would be recalled that the Super Eagles dropped two places in the previous FIFA ranking.
The West Africans held the Bafana Bafana of South Africa to a 1-1 draw at home and lost 2-1 away against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic.
The Super Eagles are, however, among the top five teams in Africa.
