Retired Police Officers Protest Over Unpaid Pension

Retired Police Officers under the contributory Pension scheme, on Tuesday stormed the National Assembly to protest over unpaid pensions.
The retirees representing various state chapters lamented the severe hardships faced due to the failure of the National Pension Commission to pay their entitlements, and urged the Federal Government to remove them from the contributory pension scheme.
This is not the first of such protests by the retired police officers.
Recall, that also in September 2021, retirees from 27 states stormed the National Assembly to demand payments of their due pension.
