NECO denies extending exam registration date

The National Examinations Council has confirmed that the closing date for the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination Internal Registration remains unchanged.
In a statement released on Thursday, NECO called on stakeholders to disregard social media posts purporting that the registration period had been extended to Monday 20th June, 2024.
NECO insisted that the registration, which started on Monday, December 18, 2023, would close on Monday, June  3 2024 and late registration, will attract the late registration fee.
Meanwhile the Registrar, National Examinations Council, Ibrahim Wushishi, while speaking with newsmen has stated that the complexity of its examination may not allow for immediate migration from paper to Computer Based Test.
