The Imo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has disclosed that there is no fear in the party following the resignation of a former governor of the state, Emeka Ihedioha and some of his loyalists.
The acting state chairman of the party, Chidi Dike, while fielding questions from newsmen at the party’s Secretariat in Owerri on Wednesday, noted that the fabrics of the party are still intact, stressing that the party does not regret the recent exodus of some of its leaders and members, as they honorably excercised their constitutional rights of association.
Dike while reacting to the resignation of the former state chairman, Charles Ugwuh, noted that Ugwuh before his resignation had been restrained by a Federal High Court Sitting in Awka, Anambra State, from parading himself as the state chairman of the party, over his engagement in anti party activities during the November 11 Imo Governorship Election.
He added that the recent resignation witnessed is in favour of the party as it has opened the door for those who left the party due to the maladministration of Ugwuh to return.
