By-election winners get certificates of return today

The Independent National Electoral Commission will today (Wednesday) present Certificates of Return to winners of Saturday’s rerun and by-elections.
The National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Sam Olumekun, stated this in a statement on Tuesday.
He said On February 3, INEC conducted legislative by-elections and rerun elections across the country in 26 states.
However, rerun elections were suspended in 20 polling units in Akwa Ibom, Kano, and Enugu states due to irregularities, noting that seven political parties won seats in both the national and state Houses of Assembly.
