Residents raise alarm over a dilapidated building in Umuguma

Alarm has been raised over a dilapidating two storey building at World Bank last round about close to Hotel De Ray Umuguma, Owerri Imo State.
John Ogujiofor, a 58 years old visually impaired man and the owner of a bungalow beside the building that the house is falling unto raised the alarm and related it to Boss Radio news yesterday.
Ogujiofor disclosed that the owner of the building identified as Onyenku built and left the building since 2016 with no trace of him nor his relatives.
According to him, the said building started falling down last year for which he contacted OCDA and the house was sealed with no further action but on the 28th of January, 2024; part of the building fell down destroying his roof, kitchen and other valuable items.
Ogujiofor who now sleeps under a shade in his compound, calls on Imo government, OCDA and well meaning Nigerians to come to His rescue.
