Senate to Prioritize Bills and Laws Concerning PWDs

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, says the 10th National Assembly will give priority to bills and laws concerning Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) to ensure their inclusivity in the affairs of the country.
Akpabio stated this during his remarks at the commemoration of the International Day for PWDs on Wednesday in Abuja, which was organised by the National Commission for Persons Living with Disabilities (NCPWD).
He noted that nations across the globe have made commendable efforts to foster an environment that embraces diversity and the inclusion of PWDs.
He also explained that the day provides an invaluable opportunity to learn from these global best practices that will contribute to a more inclusive Nigeria.
Also speaking, the Chairman, Committee on Disability in the House of Representatives, Bashir Dawodu, corroborated the commitment made by Akpabio.
