The Adamawa/Taraba Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has seized items including 15,449 litres of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, with a cumulative Duty Paid Value of N13m.

This was disclosed in a statement by the Area Comptroller, Salisu Abdullahi during a press briefing held on November 17, 2023 at the headquarters of the Area Command in Yola, and posted on the official X handle of the NCS on Tuesday.

Other seized items include 19 cartons of foreign insecticide and 26 bags of 50kg foreign parboiled rice.

On account of the flammability of the PMS, the Comptroller said most of the product had been disposed of in accordance with the extant laws and the accrued proceeds remitted into the Federation Account.
