The government of Zamfara State, through the Ministry of Women Affairs, Children, and Social Development, has pledged to pay for the education and other necessities of a  six-year-old boy, whose video went viral on social media.

The boy expressed his sorrow over the death of his father and said he would exact revenge.

In a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Suleiman Isah in Gusau, he said the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Children and Social Development, Nafisa Maraduna, made the promise while receiving the child and his mother in her office on Thursday.

Maraduna said she was first directed by the wife of the state governor, Hajiya Huriya Lawal, to find out about the boy and his mother so that the state government could support them for better living and necessary counselling.
