Ituma Dies after a Suspected Fall

Nigerian-born Italian volleyball star, Julia Ituma, has died after a suspected fall from a hotel room window in Turkey.

Turkish police said Ituma was staying on the sixth floor of a hotel in Istanbul.

The body of the 18 year old Italian-born athlete of Nigerian origin was discovered in front of the hotel.

SON Reveal Number of Tyres Destroyed in Six Months

The Standard Organisation of Nigeria, SON, says it has destroyed 10 million substandard tyres in six months. A statement issued by the Director General of SON, Farouk Salim, made this known at a one-day sensitisation programme. Salim added that the agency had also trained over 800 tyre importers and vulcanisers on ways to identify quality tyres in its bid to ensure safety on Nigerian roads.
