Reps to Investigate Alleged N20bn Theft

The House of Representatives has launched an investigate into the alleged theft of N20 billion belonging to state governments.

The House adopted the motion of urgent public importance moved by Ibrahim Kawu.

Kawu, who said the money was diverted by staff of NNPC under the guise of consultation fees, warned that the House must act to checkmate the diversion.

The House resolved to set up a committee to investigate within four weeks.
