FG to Launch Investigation into Death of Nigerian in Ethiopian Prison

The Federal Government has said it will launch a full investigation into the circumstances that led to the death of a Nigerian, Chizoba Eze, in Ethiopian prison.

A statement signed by the Spokesperson, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, consoled the family of late Eze.

The statement, however, expressed concern over the reported conditions of some Nigerians, serving various jail terms in Ethiopia.

Chizoba was said to have died in Kaliti prison, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on March 12, 2023, following alleged physical aggression.
