Senate Postpones Resumption of Plenary

The Senate has postponed it’s earlier scheduled plenary to Tuesday, March 21, 2023.

A memo signed by the Clerk of the House, Chinedu Akubueze, announced that the resumption of Plenary has been rescheduled from Tuesday, March 14, 2023 to Tuesday, March 21, 2023.

The Red chamber at its last sitting had due to the governorship elections adjourned plenary to Tuesday, March 14, 2023, to enable senators vying for governorship positions to participate in the campaigns and elections.

Appeal Court Reserves Judgment Filed by Adeleke

The Appeal Court has reserved judgment on the Osun State Governorship Appeal filled by Governor Ademola Adeleke. Delivering judgment, two out of the three-member panel of the tribunal held that the former governor of the state Gboyega Oyetola proved that there was over-voting in some of the polling units. Adeleke had on February 9th, appealed the judgment of the State Governorship Tribunal which nullified his election.
