FG Orders Closure of Polytechnics Ahead of Elections

The Federal Government has ordered the closure of all polytechnics in the country, ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu issued the directive in a letter signed by an official of the ministry, I. Folorunsho, and addressed to the Executive Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education, Idris Bugaje.

The letter directed that the instruction be conveyed to rectors and provosts of all polytechnics and that academic activities should be stopped between February 22 and March 14, 2023.
