The apex Igbo socio cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has urged the Federal Government to block the Supreme Court ruling halting the deadline extension for the old naira notes.

Secretary-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, stated that the ruling would encourage rigging and not prevent electoral malpractice.

Isiguzoro stressed that the judgment is against the people, and will not help the use of BVAS, and will not curtail election malpractices.

The Secretary urged the federal government to institute an executive order backing the use of the old currency.
