A Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed a suit seeking the disqualification of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, over the party’s Muslim-Muslim ticket.

Delivering judgment, the presiding Judge, Ahmed Mohammed, held that the lawyer, not being a member of the APC and having not participated in the process that produced Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, cannot query them on the nominations.

Justice Mohammed disagreed with the plaintiff on the legal right to institute the case and subsequently dismissed it.

The lawyer had in the suit prayed the court for an order stopping the APC from participating in the presidential election because the Muslim-Muslim ticket is against the provisions of Sections 14, 15 and 224 of the 1999 Constitution.
