Cross River Government Sack Principals Over Bribery

Cross River State government has removed Secondary school principals who engaged in collecting illegal levies.

The State Commissioner for Quality Education, Godwin Amanke, disclosed this during a ministerial briefing in Calabar, the state capital.

Amanke stated that twelve principals were removed; six suspended and 16 were transferred, for the misdemeanor.

The Commissioner noted that the principals were paying as much as N300,000 to be transferred.
