Osinbajo Departs for Liberia

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will depart for Liberia to attend the Emerging Young Leaders Forum.

A statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, disclosed that Osinbajo’s one-day visit is at the invitation of his Liberian counterpart, Jewel Howard-Taylor, who is marking her 60th birthday.

The statement noted that the Vice President and other West African leaders will interact with a selected group of 400 emerging leaders sharing their growth, struggles, attainment, accomplishments and secrets.

It added that afterwards, he will hold bilateral talks with President George Weah of Liberia.

Immigration Service Opens Recruitment Portal

The Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, has opened the portal for 2023 recruitment. This was announced by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board. The board invited applications from suitably qualified candidates for full-time appointments to fill vacancies. It added that multiple applications will automatically be disqualified, noting that the deadline for submission is January 30.
