The Chief of Defense Staff, Lucky Irabor, has assured citizens that there would be no more coups in Nigeria.
Irabor gave the assurance at the end of the 2023 Armed Forces Remembrance Day, at the National Arcade, Abuja.
He noted that the armed forces would work with the police to provide security during the general elections.
The Defense chief disclosed he has been discussing with the Inspector-General of Police to work out modalities on election security.
Reports say unknown gunmen attacked an office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Enugu South Local Government Area of the State.
