The Federal Government has asked Nigerians to blame governors for the level of poverty in the country.
Minister of State for Budget and National planning, Clem Agba, accused governors of executing bogus projects, rather than improving the lives of people in their states.
Agba noted that the government’s social investment plan had not made much impact due to the inability of governors to work with the Federal Government.
The Minister berated governors over their failure to invest in agriculture.
The High Court in Minna, Niger State, has issued a warrant of arrest for the Chief of Army Staff, Faruk Yahaya for alleged contempt of court. Delivering Judgement, the presiding Judge, Halima Abdulmalik, noted that the order followed the hearing of a case brought before the court, pursuant to Order 42, Rule 10 of the State High Court Civil Procedure 2018.
