The Federal High Court has affirmed the election of Oladipupo Adebutu as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ogun State.

In his ruling, the presiding Judge, Inyang Ekwo held that the plaintiff, Jimi Lawal, failed to prove that the PDP breached its laws in selecting its flag bearer for the March 11, 2023 governorship poll.

Justice Ekwo maintained that Lawal failed to provide reliable and credible evidence to support his case of electoral malpractice.

The Judge dismissed the suit for being incompetent and lacking in merit.
