Report Says 70 million Nigerians Lack Potable Water

The World Bank has said that 70 million Nigerians have no access to basic drinking water services.

This is according to its 2022 report titled, Global Water Security & Sanitation Partnership.

The report revealed that Global Water Security & Sanitation Partnership provided significant assistance to support the government’s commitment to reform and build government capacity.

It further described the condition as unfortunate, that access to safe drinking water was a big challenge in Nigeria.
