Buhari Urges Police Officers to be Apolitical

President Muhammadu Buhari has charged the Nigeria Police to project a force that will remain apolitical.
Buhari gave the charge at the Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

He urged Police Officers to take advantage of the retreat to map out plans that would guarantee credible, free and fair elections.

Speaking further, the President restates his commitment towards ensuring free, fair and credible elections.

Buhari Summons Security Chiefs

President Muhammadu Buhari summoned security chiefs to an emergency meeting in Abuja. According to his media aide, Garba Shehu, said the meeting is to further review and strengthen security network in the country. Shehu added that the President will receive briefs from the security chiefs, and interject on areas that need more attention. The meeting comes amid terror alerts of impending attacks on the Nigerian capital.
