CONUA Rules Out Industrial Action to Press Demands

The Congress of Nigerian Universities Academics, CONUA, has ruled out the use of industrial action to push for demands.

National Coordinator of CONUA, Niyi Sunmonu, disclosed this after the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, announced the registration of the union.

Sunmonu stressed on the need to organize its branches and be constructive in their engagement with government.

He noted that the union seeks to create an atmosphere that will be a win-win for lecturers, students, parents, the government, and all stakeholders.
