Enugu State Police Command has confirmed the attack on a joint security checkpoint at Amodu in Nkanu West Local Government Area of the State.
The Public Relations Officer of the Command, Daniel Ndukwe confirmed the incident in a statement.
The statement was, however silent on the number of casualties.
Recall that the attack, which occurred early Tuesday morning, reportedly claimed two lives.
