Wike Calls For Inclusive Development Agenda

Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, has harped on the need for the implementation of an inclusive development agenda for the state.

Wike disclosed this at the inauguration of Community Secondary School Obuama in Degema Local Government Area of the state.

The Governor stressed that his administration has given sufficient development attention to improving structure, teaching and learning facility in the education sector.

UN Appeals for Support for Pakistan Over Flooding

United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, has appealed for massive global support for Pakistan where  floods have killed nearly 1,400 people. Guterres made the appeal today in Pakistani capital, when he was received by the state minister for foreign affairs, Hina Khar. Pakistan’s minister for information and broadcasting, Marriyam Aurangzeb, said the visit will help highlight the problems faced by flood victims and help in sensitizing the world about the consequences of climate change.
