The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has revealed the date for the release of the final lists of Presidential and Governorship Candidates ahead of the 2023 general elections.
INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, made the revelation on Thursday during a meeting organized by the Centre for Democracy and Development in Abuja.
Yakubu disclosed that the Presidential list would be out on September 20, while the Governorship would be released on October 4, 2022.
The Chairman, however, urged Political Parties and its Candidates to focus on issue-based campaigns.
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Ahmed Halilu as the Managing Director of Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Company, NSPMC, Plc. According to reports, Buhari approved the appointment following the recommendation of the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele. Until his appointment, Haliru had headed the Company in acting capacity following the resignation of Abbas Masanawa on May 16, 2022.
