Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku has warned the newly sworn-in caretaker Committee Chairmen to desist from acts capable of frustrating their performance.
Ishaku gave the warning during the swearing-in ceremony of the 16 Local Councils Caretaker Committee Chairmen held on Thursday at the Government House, Jalingo, the State Capital.
The Governor vowed to deal decisively with any of the Chairmen who would abuse his position for personal gain.
Rosmah Mansor, wife of Former Malaysian Prime Minister, Najib Razak has been found guilty of soliciting and receiving bribes. A High Court judge found Mansor guilty on those charges, and the charges carry a penalty of up to 20 years in prison, and a fine of up to five times the amount of the bribe.
